Computers In Homes (CIH)
e-Learning Porirua has been running Computers in Homes courses since 2001, making it the oldest Computers in Homes programme in New Zealand. The Porirua programme is part of a network of regional programmes across the whole of New Zealand overseen by the 2020 Communications Trust. In April of 2011 e-Learning Porirua celebrated reaching the milestone of 1000 families.

e-learning also runs a free computer course known as STEPPING UP. It is a free course that covers modules from Using Microsoft office to lessons on Applications, Social and Digital media, these are known as DIGITAL STEPS. It is run at various CAPS (Community Access Points) around the Porirua area for easier accesses ability to the community. As well as cater to the needs of each individual student who may need to deviate from set lesson plans in need of help with creating C.V, Job/web search and or formal/cover letter writing.
